The Outer Limits
So much has happened since my last posting, yet I've blogged not a bit of it. Instead, I resorted to the old-fashioned pen and notepad to record my mindless ramblings.
Why? Because I took my show on the road to the wilds of Lithuania.
Where in the WORLD is Lithuania? It's in the Baltic Region, silly! Oh, you don't know where that is? You know, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia ... right next door to Belarus? Oh, this will help you, slightly south of the north pole ... that's slightly to the east of COLD AS HELL!
I found out when I arrived with my suitcase full of cute fall fashions that I should have packed my sub-arctic polar gear; Lithuania is the place that Santa supposedly hails from, you know. I didn't know. Everything I read kept saying the same reassuring thing "Lithuania is a maritime country with mild temperatures" Mild? Who are they asking?
I left the East coast with hot high 70's and stepped off a plane 14 hours later and into 20's. You want to talk about BRRRRRRRR? And remember, I LIKE the cold, so heed my words. It is COLD in Lithuania!
My favorite gifts to myself were my new ski jacket with detachable hood and mohair pashmina. I spent my trip muffled to the eyebrows, while the native Lithuanians strolled about in their lightweight fall jackets, with nary a scarf or gloves to be seen. Must be in their genes or their thickened blood. Amazing.
At any rate, this is just a quick catch up email with the promise of the trip entirety, with all of the boring details, to follow. :D
